American Crows are all black – from their beaks to their talons. They’re extremely social and will sometimes form flocks in the thousands. Crows have the largest brain to body ratio of any bird. They are very smart and good problem solvers, known to often raid garbage cans to pick over discarded food containers.  
 
Fun fact: Crows have been known to hold “funerals" and "wakes” when one of their own dies. Some studies suggest that the mass gathering is part of a survival strategy, helping to identify locations and predators to avoid in the future.
