About the workshop:
Join local artist and naturalist Allison Donohue for a fun workshop exploring what it means to be a creative person, and the link between nature and creativity. This workshop is appropriate for adults at all levels of art experience. All materials will be provided.
In this class, we will explore a variety of fun and engaging creativity exercises designed to spark inspiration and build artistic confidence. We’ll play with paint and pencils through activities like quick nature sketches, color mixing experiments, and abstract mark-making. We'll also try a number of great warm up exercises that you can do at home to get your creativity flowing, and paint flowers and leaves with expressive movement. Students will make small origami creativity journals to capture ideas and sketches, and leave with prompts for future creating. These activities are designed to loosen up your creativity and connect you with the natural world as inspiration for your art.Â
✨ No Experience Needed: Perfect for all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned artists.
🎨 Playful & Hands-On: Experiment with paint, pencils, and even craft your own origami creativity journal.
🌿 Nature-Inspired Creativity: Discover how the natural world can spark your imagination.
📦 All Supplies Included: We’ll provide everything you need—just bring yourself (and your favorite tools if you'd like!).
💰 Affordable Fun: A low-cost investment for a fulfilling and creative experience.
