Buoy Tree, Wells Maine Print
from $24.00
The buoy tree, erected in 2019, has quickly become one of the most iconic landmarks in Wells. Sitting proudly on the dock overlooking the harbor, it’s made up of countless buoys painted by Wells High School art students—a fantastic community project that’s cherished by both locals and visitors alike. While the tree stands year-round, it’s only lit during the holiday season, making it even more special during that time of year.
Having called Wells home for over a decade, I love exploring Wells Harbor in the off-season, especially for birding and those quiet, peaceful moments. One Autumn morning, I woke up early and noticed a hint of color in the sky. Knowing how fleeting these moments can be, I bundled up quickly and headed to the harbor to catch the sunrise. Mother Nature didn’t disappoint, painting the sky in stunning hues of yellow, orange, and pink while casting a magical light on the buoy tree. This piece is my tribute to one of Wells’ most beloved symbols.
Each piece is printed on high quality archival Canon luster photo paper and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
6x9, 8x10 and 8x12 artwork includes an acid-free white mat.
